Palms Down is where you begin. You sit quietly and symbolically turn your hands down as you release everything to God, your worries, fears, plans, expectations, and need to control the outcome.

Palms Up comes next. You turn your hands upward as a posture of receiving, inviting God to fill you with His peace, wisdom and direction.
